The Plan
Ayelet Schrek
You say there’s something missing.
How can there be?
I see you,
you’re whole.
You look whole.
What did you say?
You’re lonely?
Come, dear boy, that’s stupid.
You don’t need love!
Friends, family, they’re all overrated.
A cure, a cure!
Who needs people?
I have for you the finest house!
A mansion, practically, my boy!
Filled with servants.
They will not bother you.
They will quietly cook and clean and mend and
care.
Oh, how they will care for you!
The finest of servants for the finest of houses for the finest of lads!
And oh, I have a job for you!
Such a well-respected, well paying job.
Your parents would be proud.
You’ll be rich my boy!
Who’ll be lonely then?
Then, oh, then I shall find you a wife.
She’ll be as caring as the servants.
She’ll cry for you when you’re gone,
and so will the kids.
What more could you want then that?
What’s that?
I can’t hear you.
You must speak up.
What? My dear boy, don’t you trust me?
Do you really think you know better than me?
Good, good, so it’s settled.
Here’s your guide, follow it to the letter.
Satisfaction guaranteed or—
Have a nice life, boy.
Who’s next?
